Lend Lease completes Energy-Star-rated apartment building at 625 W Division St.

Developer Gerding Edlen’s 18-floor building, Xavier replaces a 42,000 square-foot empty lot at 625 W Division St. The building- designed by GREC Architects and built by general contractor Lend Lease- holds 240 luxury apartments and 4,500 square-feet of retail space.
Located in the Cabrini Green neighborhood, Xavier features studio, 1- and 2-bedroom apartments. Units range between 500 and 1,000 square-feet in size and feature floor-to-ceiling glass, concrete ceilings and hardwood floors. These luxury rentals were built with a modern kitchen fitted with Energy-Star appliances.
Tenants of this 280,000 square-foot building enjoy almost 30,000 square-feet of shared amenity space. Amenities include access to the 13,000 square-foot, third-floor recreation deck, rooftop deck, movie room, fitness center and private pool. A fully-equipped chef’s demonstration kitchen is also available to tenants.
Xavier is a pet-friendly building offering several unique amenities for pet owners. Tenants can groom their dogs in a special dog-washing station and take them out for exercise in either the indoor or outdoor dog-run areas.
Developers had this building designed with sustainability in mind. Landscaping around the project features native plant species irrigated by a storm-water harvesting system. A LEED-certified (Gold) green building, Xavier also is also equipped with electric vehicle charging stations.
