Terrace 459 represents a phase of Chicago Housing Authority’s, ‘Parkside of Old Town’ low-density, mixed-income, public housing project. Located at 459 W Division, the development includes a nine-floor, 94-unit building with seven attached townhouses as well as a three-floor, 12-unit building located across from the townhouses.

The one-, two- and three- bedroom apartments in Terrace 459 are outfitted with designer kitchen appliances and walk-in closets. Some units feature enclosed terraces and balconies. All residents of this Cabrini Green-area development can utilize the community fitness center.

Holsten Real Estate Development Corp. and Cabrini Green Local Advisory Council represent the development team behind the project, while Landon Bone Baker Architects provided the design.

General contractor, Linn-Mathes, employed precast concrete wall / floor systems in the building to help keep construction costs down to around $194 per square-foot.

Terrace 459 was named one of Real Estate Forum Magazine’s top recent developments in 2016. In the same year, the development received a Residential Architect Design Award for Affordable Housing.

Several hundred apartment units have come online in the Cabrini Green area during the current construction boom. Terrace 459, Clybourn 1200 and Xavier are just a few of the more recent developments to welcome tenants into the growing neighborhood.
