Teams demolished a pair of low-rise buildings at the corner of Superior and Sedgwick in River North to make way for Ascend Real Estate Group’s 12-floor Superior House. The new development will contain 34 amenity-rich, luxury condos. The building, designed by FitzGerald Associates Architects, will feature interiors designed by Gary Lee Partners.
Condo interiors will emphasize luxury urban living with wide-open floor plans and upscale fittings. Every unit will have white oak flooring throughout, a private balcony, a separate office or den as well as a master bedroom with master bathroom and custom closets.
The oversized kitchens in Superior House will be equipped with all the space and top-shelf appliances expected in any high-end, chef-inspired kitchen. Each kitchen will feature quartz countertops, under-cabinet lighting, a Miele dishwasher, integrated Sub-Zero refrigerator, 30-inch Wolf wall oven and five-burner Wolf gas cooktop.
Master bathrooms within each condo unit will be fitted with Kallista faucets, a wall-mounted Duravit toilet and dual Duravit sink set-up. A frameless glass shower and LED-illuminated vanity will be mounted in each master bathroom, as well. Similar fittings and fixtures are in store for secondary bathrooms.
Superior House designers included a green roof and top-floor amenity level in the layout of the building with both indoor and outdoor components. Outside, residents can either relax around the sundeck lounge area or have a drink at the fully-equipped outdoor bar. Superior House will offer dedicated space for a community vegetable garden and herb garden.
Inside, residents will have shared access to a fully-equipped fitness center, entertainment room and gourmet demonstration kitchen. The building’s ground-floor lobby area will feature an expansive fireplace.
Superior House rises near other recent developments such as 400 W Huron and Three Sixty West at the corner of Sedgwick and Erie.
