Luxury living in a contemporary building- Walsh Construction races to deliver 47-floor building to developers

Co-developers Murphy Development Group and CIM Group’s, The Paragon steadily climbs toward completion. Topping-out at 47 floors, this residential tower will bring a total of 500 new luxury rental units and 188 parking spaces to the bustling South Loop neighborhood.

General contractor, Walsh Construction has been brought on to deliver the 600,000-square-foot, glass-clad project, which will include a 7,500 square-foot retail component. The SCB-designed tower replaces a surface parking lot at 1326 S Michigan Ave.

The Paragon, a LEED-certified tower, offers residents private access to a rooftop deck with cabanas, grilling stations, a pool, sauna and spa. Residents of these South Loop apartments also have access to a co-working space, private library, fitness center and community lounge.

The South Loop has experienced unprecedented growth in recent years, which has resulted in the creation of hundreds of new apartments across several new high-rises. Developments such as The Paragon, the completed 1001 South State building and currently under-construction NEMA Chicago have already made an huge impact on the Chicago skyline.
