Linn-Mathes, Inc. acted as general contractor for the build-out of River North’s Exhibit on Superior. This 34-floor tower has 298 pet-friendly apartments and 109 parking spaces.
The development, located at 165 W Superior St., was made possible by a joint venture between Mac Management and Magellan Development Group. The design group for this 283,000-square-foot, modern-design tower was from bKL Architecture. Exhibit on Superior features masonry and glass exterior construction and cast-in-place concrete structural material.
Developers integrated a ground-level, public park component into the design of this LEED-certified, green building project. The public has access to a small, street-level park at the southeast corner of Superior and Wells Sts.
A spa, sauna, fitness center and private training room are among the building’s many indoor amenities. Residents will also have access to private meeting areas, a private dining area and a library zone. Outside, they can enjoy lounging around the landscaped roof deck or take a swim in the 75-foot lap-pool. Pets can be taken to get some exercise around the outdoor dog-run area.
A more unique amenity- Exhibit on Superior currently employs Jeremy Gentry to act as, ‘musician-in-residence’. This allows residents to enjoy live, music-oriented entertainment on-site on a regular basis.
Units in this building have driftwood plank flooring systems as well as private balconies. These River North apartments were designed with dark wood cabinets as well as stainless steel appliances in the kitchens. The building offers studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, each with its own washer and dryer.
Completed in 2017, Exhibit on Superior is located on the same block as The Hensley.
