Hines and the Joseph P. Kennedy family team-up with the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust to develop Wolf Point East, the second of three towers planned to rise on Wolf Point. Wolf Point West, the first phase of the redevelopment plan, was completed in 2016, while Wolf Point East is due for delivery in November, 2019.
Walsh Construction is general contractor for the Pelli Clarke Pelli-designed tower rising at 313 W Wolf Point Plaza in River North. The building will contain a total of 698 luxury apartments and approximately 3,500 sq-feet of retail.
Wolf Point East will offer a number of amenities, including coworking spaces, tenant lounges, a golf simulator and a large fitness center. An entire floor of the building will be dedicated to the fitness center. In total, developers packed around 35,000 square-feet of shared-amenity space into Wolf Point East.
At Wolf Point East, tenants will be within a few blocks of some of the most popular restaurants, bars and destinations in Chicago. Located steps from the Loop, this building is perfect for anyone that works downtown and wants to live near their place of employment.
Wolff Landscape Architecture designed the green space around Wolf Point East, which is slated to include a 1,000-foot riverwalk extension along the Chicago River.
Designed as a green building, developers are seeking LEED certification for Wolf Point East.
