Three First National Plaza is a 57-floor, Class A office tower located at 70 W Madison St. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, this building remains one of the most popular and iconic skyscrapers in the heart of the Loop.
Developer, Hines, completed the Energy-Star-labeled, LEED certified office building in 1981. The 1.4 million square-foot building’s façade is clad in Carnelian granite and dark, tinted glass. Three-sided windows are a nod to the Chicago school of architecture. A tubular structural system provides exceptional wind-resistance.
The Chicago Pedway system connects Three First National Plaza with several other Loop-area office buildings. In 2014, Hearn acquired the complex for $375 million.
