Fifield Companies' new 35-floor, 390-unit Gold Coast development, The Sinclair features a massive 58,000sf Jewel-Osco flagship location

Amenity-packed, 35-floor residential tower, The Sinclair offers residents around 10,000 square-feet of shared amenities. Brininstool + Lynch and SCB designed this Gold Coast tower to include a huge, 58,000-square-foot flagship Jewel-Osco grocery store to replace the one demolished for the project.

Developer, Fifield Companies, employed James McHugh Construction as general contractor for this 596,000-square-foot, over $200 million, mixed-use development. Built between 2016 and 2017, the residential tower includes 390 luxury rental units. Residents have access to a number of the developments total 350 indoor parking spaces.

This building, located at 1201 N LaSalle, was build with concrete structural material partially above a busy, preexisting CTA Red Line subway station. Before completion of the project, McHugh delivered several significant landscaping improvements along both Division and Clark Sts.  

Amenities available to residents of The Sinclair include access to a game room, lounge area, fitness center, yoga studio as well as a private physical therapy studio. Residents can host their family and friends in one of the building’s party rooms or the private cinema.

The building’s outdoor deck offers cabanas, a dog run and a grilling area. Mick de Giulio puts a final touch on bathroom spaces in these Gold Coast apartments. Individual units feature 9-11-foot ceilings, very large windows, private balconies, walk-in closets, quartz countertops and stainless steel kitchen appliances. All units also include a washer and dryer as well as a NEST-brand programmable thermostat.

The Sinclair’s 390 residences consist of 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom penthouse units. Theses apartments range in size from anywhere between 500 and 2,600 square-feet.
