500 W Madison is a 40-floor, 1.46 million-square-foot, Class A office tower located at the northwest corner of Madison and Canal in the West Loop. This Art-Deco tower was designed by Helmut Jahn and completed in 1987. With over 78,000 square-feet of retail options and situated atop the Ogilvie Transportation Center, 500 W Madison is truly a full-service office location.

KBS acquired 500 W Madison in December, 2013 for approximately $435 million. Between 2014 and 2015, developers completed major renovations on the building.

Amenities available for tenants include access to the building’s luxury lounge, basketball court and 11,000-square-foot, multi-level fitness center.

Utilizing green building materials and green building design, 500 W Madison remains the largest LEED-Gold, Class A office tower in Chicago. The building also received a TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) award (2018), which honors excellence in commercial building management and operations.
